Returning to Örebro with “MY SONG "
In September, My Song was performed at Teater Martin Mutter in Örebro, Sweden. This was not just a tour stop—it was a homecoming. Örebro was where Tendai Makurumbandi’s professional journey began with Kompani Raande Vo after graduation. Sharing this Heddapris-winning work with the city that shaped the early years of our career was deeply meaningful and incredibly rewarding.
Preparing for Dansehallerne
The journey of My Song continues in 2025, with performances scheduled at Dansehallerne in Denmark on May 16-17. This marks an exciting opportunity to share our work with an international audience, expanding the reach of our message and breaking new ground for Makuda.
The Birth of “Not My Bones”
2024 also brought the premiere of Not My Bones at the In2IT International Dance Festival in Kristiansund. This work represents a bold exploration of identity and resilience, themes that resonate deeply within our practice. After the premiere, Not My Bones toured regionally to Ålesund and Surnadal, sparking meaningful conversations and connections.
